The macOS app

Classic Slideshow is a sandboxed macOS application that runs entirely on your Mac. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers.
No network access. The app does not contact any server.
Photos stay local. The folder you select is only read on your Mac, while the slideshow is running. Image files are never copied, uploaded, or modified.
Settings. Your preferences (display duration, layout toggles, motion mode, etc.) are stored locally on your Mac via macOS UserDefaults. The selected folder itself is intentionally not persisted — you re-pick it each session.
Crash reports. If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in your macOS privacy settings, Apple may share anonymised crash diagnostics with us. This is governed by Apple, not by us.

This website

This website is hosted on shared hosting at IONOS. Standard server logs (your IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL, user agent) are kept short-term for security and abuse-prevention purposes and then deleted. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in running a secure website).

We do not use cookies, analytics, third-party fonts, or any other tracking technology on this site.

The support form

When you submit the contact form, the data you provide (name, email address, optional subject, message) is sent to ClassicSlideshow@glavegbr.de and stored in the corresponding mailbox. Your IP address and submission timestamp are included in the email so we can investigate abuse.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (your consent, given by ticking the consent box) and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (handling your support request). Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and are deleted afterwards (typically within 12 months).

For abuse-prevention purposes the form uses a short-lived token and a per-IP rate limit. The state files holding these counters contain a hash of your IP and are deleted automatically after a short window.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), deletion (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21) regarding the personal data we hold about you. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your federal state.

Diese Website

Die Website wird auf einem Shared-Hosting-Paket bei IONOS gehostet. Standard-Serverlogs (IP-Adresse, Zeitstempel, aufgerufene URL, User Agent) werden zur Sicherstellung des Betriebs kurzzeitig gespeichert und anschließend gelöscht. Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (berechtigtes Interesse am sicheren Betrieb).

Das Support-Formular

Wenn Sie das Kontaktformular absenden, werden die von Ihnen eingegebenen Daten (Name, E-Mail-Adresse, optionaler Betreff, Nachricht) per E-Mail an ClassicSlideshow@glavegbr.de gesendet und im zugehörigen Postfach gespeichert. IP-Adresse und Zeitpunkt der Übermittlung werden zu Zwecken der Missbrauchsabwehr in der E-Mail mitgesendet.

Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (Ihre Einwilligung durch Aktivieren der Checkbox) sowie Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Bearbeitung Ihrer Anfrage). Nachrichten werden so lange gespeichert, wie es zur Bearbeitung erforderlich ist, und danach gelöscht (in der Regel spätestens nach 12 Monaten).

Ihre Rechte

Sie haben das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung der Verarbeitung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch hinsichtlich Ihrer bei uns gespeicherten personenbezogenen Daten. Außerdem haben Sie das Recht auf Beschwerde bei der zuständigen Aufsichtsbehörde.
