Classic Slideshow

Fullscreen photo slideshows on macOS — the way they used to feel.

Download on the Mac App Store

What it does

Pick one or more folders of photos. Classic Slideshow plays them fullscreen and packs each batch into an adaptive 1 / 2 / 3 / 4-image layout based on the upcoming images' aspect ratios — with optional pan, zoom, or Ken Burns motion over the display duration.

The letterbox area can be a fixed colour or auto-derived from each image's average colour. Press Esc any time to return to the setup window.

New in 1.2

  • Multiple source folders — combine several folders into one slideshow, with a per-folder “include subfolders” switch.
  • Ken Burns motion — linear corner-to-corner pan, or pan combined with zoom-in / zoom-out, with min/max zoom sliders.
  • Redesigned setup screen — a three-column macOS layout with grouped Timing / Order / Motion / Backdrop cards and miniature layout thumbnails.
  • Polished slideshow HUD with refined materials and rounded chrome.
